Welcome! This space is dedicated to all things beautiful and unhinged. I am a curious and passionate person who aims to celebrate creativity, curiosity, and culture. I also wanted to use my background to add perspective to the topics explored here.
I come from a lower income background and I have struggled to fit in most of my life, but I learned to cope with adversity through creative outlets. I became persistent and patient while I worked to improve my mind, body, and life. I have made great improvements in just a few years and I continue to test the limits of my potential everyday.
I created this blog to document my journey as well as share advice and resources for those who also wish to live an intellectually and creatively fulfilling life with limited resources. I also wish to share resources available to those who may benefit from them.
I enjoy writing, reading, playing video games, watching television and movies with my husband and son, cooking and baking, doing home improvement projects, and journalling. My content will be heavily focused on these activities, and I plan to incorporate a Youtube channel on to my website in the future.

I am generally pretty satisfied with how this looks, but it is pretty simple. I am in the process of losing 20 lbs and toning my upper body in hopes I can take photos that I find the most flattering for my body. - Self Care Is Not Selfish
Lately I’ve had the time to practice more self-care in my routine. I was so busy this year saving and taking every dog sitting job possible to finally get enough money for a down payment on a home that I rarely had the time to do relaxing activities. My husband and I decided to splurge a little this Halloween and get dressed up for the Ghoulish Gala and the Salisbury House in Des Moines, Iowa. It was a formal event, in a very old house decorated to be spooky for the Halloween season. There was plenty of really good food and libations. My husband and I are finally buying a home. We wanted to in 2019, but we didn’t have a lot of money and everyone insisted the bubble would pop at any moment and I would be stuck in an overpriced home. I was young, and now I want to smack those people because the cost of homes have DOUBLED since 2019 due to COVID 19. I will never see homes back at that price again.
